  didnt send the fax requesting my previous doctors records. wouldnt let me ask the reception if my paperwork had come through or check it so i had to see the doctor every week for 3 months just to check. doctor refused to chase it up. manager refused to check. doctor thought she was above touching paperwork and that i was being totally unreasonable and asking her to go and check immediately when she knew it had been 3 months without contact. i ended up calling my old doctors office and the reception confirmed they had never sent the request.
  
  was sent to a neuropsychologist. report was meant to take 2 weeks. i went back every week for 6 months because again, the reception would not check and the next doctor thought they were above administrative affairs. I had to go to his office to find out why it hadnt been done. he had simply forgotten to write the report. ended up complaining to the HCC at which point the manager and doctors told them that i had a personality disorder and was extremely emotionally disturbed. this was news to me. one of the doctors even described, when after months of this pattern of abuse, they were still telling me that they would not check these filing errors that when i demanded they just put in place a procedure to check their own administrative errors, to just call my doctor to find out why they had not received the paperwork, that I was being abusing and aggressive in their response to the HCC.
  
  the behaviour of every member of staff that i encountered reveals a pattern of medicare fraud, that is, requiring patients to attend a doctor multiple times in an attempt to simply correct their own administrative error. billing medicare for a doctors appointment unnecessarily just to ask if paperwork had been done is fraud.
  
  absolutely irresponsible and frankly dangerous practice.
